Hardwood Exports to Spain up 40% in 2015
A recent article in InfoConstruccción (a website covering developments in Spain’s construction industry), highlighted the incredible 40% growth in US hardwood exports to Spain. This echoes growth we’ve seen in the construction industry across Europe, and a positive trajectory for US Hardwood exports to Spain.
The announcement came as part of a report on a recent visit by our friends at the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) and the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA). Several members of the AHEC team traveled with NHLA Chief Inspector Dana Spessert as he led several courses on US Hardwood grading rules. NHLA maintains rules governing the grades of US Hardwood lumber, as well as guidelines on buying and selling hardwood lumber, whether that’s just down the street or across the planet. AHEC and NHLA’s aim is to educate managers in Spain on lumber grades, and clarify the sales process, It’s a great mission, and one that Linden Lumber hopes to see for many years to come.
