In order to ensure that our customers receive the highest-quality Southern lumber possible, we always separate boards containing significant mineral streaking to be packaged separately. This makes a unique product, ideal for dark-finished furniture and moldings, at a great price point for manufacturers. Please find our standard CND offerings below.

5/4 Kiln-Dried Red Oak

We sometimes have customers who ask us why we don’t have CND offerings in our 5/4 red oak. Why is that? We’re glad you asked. We identify only the best cants in our sawmill as targets for our 5/4 red oak, leaving us with only prime lumber bound for a finished 5/4 product. This makes for a premium 5/4 finished board, which runs more like a Appalachian lumber than typical Southern material.
